Install Piezas

Piezas works inside the AI tool you already use. Install it once, then build in Claude or Codex as you normally would: Piezas gives your AI tool ready-made building blocks and checks the app before it goes live.

There are two ways to install it. The extension is the easier one; the command line is there if you prefer a terminal.

Before you start

• A Piezas account. Create one if you don't have one yet. It takes a minute, and your first app is free.
• Claude or Codex, signed in. Piezas works with the Claude desktop app and Claude Code, and with the Codex desktop app and ChatGPT.

Choose your AI tool

Claude

Install the Piezas extension from inside Claude. It adds the Piezas skills and the checks that run while your app is being built.

The command line (any AI tool)

If you are comfortable with a terminal, or you use another AI coding tool such as Cursor or Windsurf, the Piezas command line works everywhere. Open your project folder in a terminal and run npx piezas init. The quick start walks through it step by step.

After installing

Start a new chat in an empty folder and say: Set up this folder for a new Piezas app. Your AI tool asks what the app should do, one question at a time, and shows you a clickable preview before anything is built.

Already have an app? Say I already have an app. Bring it over to Piezas. instead. Here is how that works.

If something doesn't work

• Piezas doesn't show up in your AI tool. Follow the guide for your tool above once more, step by step, then start a new chat.
• The sign-in link didn't appear. Ask your AI tool: "Sign me in to Piezas." It posts a new link.
• Anything else. Write to support@piezas.ai with what you tried and what you saw.
